Paula Young


I am a committed and passionate vegan of over 20 years. After training as a chef in 1994 I started my catering career at the award winning vegetarian restaurant Terre a TerreI have since worked in well known vegetarian establishments in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and have travelled extensively through Asia where I draw on Asian influences to create my own unique fusion cooking style. I lived in New Zealand for 7 years before returning to the UK in 2007 to work as head chef at Lancrigg Country House Hotel in Grasmere, where I helped develop The Green Valley Organic Restaurant, which was the UK's first certified organic vegetarian restaurant. On returning to Brighton I worked at Food For Friends and Aloka but finally left to follow my passion for creating gourmet plant based cuisine and pursue my dream of running 100% vegan catering company.

I currently cater as a retreat chef and have cooked for various yoga retreats around the country, including Brooklands Barn in Arundel, West Sussex and Tilton House, Firle, in East Sussex. 

I am also a certified Naturopathic Nutritionist trained with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and am a fully insured member of the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and am available for consultations in Brighton and Sussex.
